Andrew Butler

As the Executive Chairman, Andrew is responsible for leading Cottingham & Butler, Inc. to its maximum prosperity, overseeing the growth and ongoing development of its employees while upholding the standard of exceptional service to our clients.

Andrew has 40 years of insurance broking and employee benefits consulting experience, both in client-facing and leadership roles. Prior to his appointment, Andrew served as President and CEO of Butler Insurance Service, Inc. and Butler Benefit Service, Inc. His tenure was spent building the organizations to be premier providers of employee benefit consulting and claim management services.

Currently, Andrew resides in Dubuque, Iowa where Cottingham & Butler is headquartered. Within his community, he acts as a Board Trustee for the University of Dubuque, as well as the Board President for the Dubuque Museum of Art. Andrew also serves as an Advisor for the Brain Health Now initiative, which reframes the conversation of brain health and brain disease to end the stigma of mental illness. 

 

Andrew holds a BS in finance from Babson College and an MBA from the College of Insurance.
